Extensive remodeling of the house has taken place and includes a full-service kitchen, two half baths, one full bathroom and a shower room. Three roomy bedrooms are on the second floor with a half bath. A fourth bedroom is on the first floor. A washer and dryer are located in the mud room for your use. The lodge is surrounded by elm, locust, cedar, and pine trees which are favorite roosts of many species of Kansas birds. Wild plum and chokecherry bushes surround the banks of the Sawlog Creek, which runs west of the Lodge. A back patio with a picnic table will invite you to sit and enjoy the quiet or maybe do some bird watching. It is not uncommon for deer to cross south of the Lodge or to hear turkeys calling to each other. You can take walks around the countryside. At your request, we will gladly give you a tour of our working farm/ranch and feedlot so you can gain a knowledge of farming and ranching in the our area. A telephone and a television will be available also, although there won't be much time for channel surfing. |
